"Every day 22 of my veteran brothers and sisters, who served over there, sacrificed for this country, come back over here and decide that the painful burden they carry inside them is just to heavy so they end their own lives!  Many veterans with combat trauma, like myself, who continue to carry that burden do so by medicating the pain with alcohol or other substances.  Many end up incarcerated or homeless.  Why is this not the lead story on the news every single night?  When are the people of this country who enjoy the freedom we help provide, going to say enough is enough?  Our veterans deserve our deepest gratitude and commitment to ensure their well being and the well being of their families no matter what the cost."
-- Combat Trauma Veteran
HOPE4PTSDVETS.ORG is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded by veterans for veterans with the invisible wounds of trauma/PTSD.  Our mission is to provide healing and wholeness through innovative, sustainable, and holistic wellness strategies built upon a foundation of peer driven support.

Our Strategy:

Increase Awareness within both the veteran and          general population about the effects of trauma/PTSD on our veterans and their families.

Culitivate Peer Support Squads by uniting veterans, wounded by trauma, together in a variety of healing and wellness activities which encourage peer support and accountability.

Provide Strategies and Tactics, through our healing and wellness projects, the veteran can use to overcome the onslaught of thoughts and emotions they experience on a daily basis as a result of combat trauma/PTSD.

Ensure Sustainability of the veterans' wellness strategy, peer support, and community involvement.
